A Big Week!

I know, I know, it has been forever since I last posted. I have been meaning to come back and post all our new happenings; however, I just kept getting further and further behind. So here I am and you will just have to trust me when I say, "so many things have happened in the past 4 months." I'm starting fresh as of today!

This week has been exciting in the Parker household. This week marks a new school year AND another year older for Miss Nora Clare. Yep, we now officially have a 4th grader, who is now the big 9, and a 2nd grader over here.

Not only is it a new school year, but it is a new school (different schools for both Nora and Reed) and, wait, uniforms!! So far so good though. They are on day 4 and they both like their teachers and the kids in their class.

We are supposed to be getting big swells this weekend because of Hurricane Bill. I will keep you posted as we are going to check them out Saturday morning.

February Snow Day

Here are a couple pictures from our February snow day. School was called off for this big blizzzard! To be fair, parts of our city reported up to an inch of snow! Since then we've had two more snow days and a 2 hour school delay due to black ice. I thought we moved south!

Reed is 6!

Reed finally made it to 6! He says he doesn't feel any different though. We celebrated his birthday by inviting his friends to the apartment complex movie theatre. The feature presentation was Speed Racer. The kids seemed to have a great time and really enjoyed sitting in their own movie theatre with popcorn, pizza, and cake.

Reed's Robot Dance

Here is a short clip of Reed doing the robot. He wouldn't stop doing it until I started filming it. Of course, typical kid!

Salsa Dancing

Back in January we tried our hand at Salsa dancing. It was so much fun and we probably had one (ok, maybe three too many) margaritas! In case your wondering who was better, me or Jeff....definetly ME!!

Hiking at Whitewater Center

We recently went back to the Whitewater Center for a day of hiking. It was a beautiful day and we all hiked almost 6 miles. I couldn't even believe the kids did it.

While we were there, we decided to be brave and try zip lining. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it was going to be. It was 1100ft long and 46ft high. It goes across their 3 and 4 class rapids (when they are running).

New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve with our friends from the complex.
